E3 2014: In Dreadnought, Bigger is Definitely Better

You're the developer of and its peers. I asked Holzapfel just how deep he expects the customization options to go, but the team has yet to nail down all the specifics, such as exactly how many ship classes the game will launch with, and how many secondary abilities players will get to choose from. Details may be scarce, but the fun was undeniable: Dreadnought is teeming with potential, and I can't wait to see what Yager shows us next.

With Dead Island 2, the folks at Deep Silver and Yager are once again trying to reinvent the way you play a zombie game. While the first Dead Island sported an abundance of trauma and grit, you can basically think of Dead Island 2 as a celebration of the genre, allowing players to soak up quite a bit more glee as they mow down the shambling masses.

Paradise meets hell.
Well you know what they say: Third times a charm. Having thoroughly played the last two Dead Island games I can say that I had fun, but overall experience left much to be desired. From repetitive zombies, glitches, and a story that disintegrated rather than thrived, I wasn't holding out much hope for Dead Island 2. But I am proud to announce that what I witnessed today at E3 erased almost every single qualm I was prepared to have. It seems that the combination of next-gen graphics and a new development team, Yager Studios, may have turned Dead Island into the game it was always meant to be.

Were excited to bring an exclusive beta and exclusive content to Dead Island 2 only available on PlayStation 4. Look forward to hearing more details about this in the coming months. But having such an ambitious project requires a strong partner, able to not only deliver on this premise but also exceed it. With Yager we found such a developer. We are really excited working on this new shared survival experience where Paradise meets Hell, and hope you are too!
