Lumino City review a real adventure | Metro

Added: 19.12.2014 2:11 | 4 views | 0 comments

Metro: "Its one of the best-looking games of the year but is there more to this new point n click adventure than just pretty visuals? Youre probably looking at these screenshots and videos and thinking that Lumino City is an amazing-looking game. And it is. But these arent computer-generated graphics. These are essentially green-screened clips of real world models, with a little computer character running about on top of them. As if someone decided not to make LittleBigPlanet out of pixels and polygons but cardboard and glue."

Game of the Year #8 Valiant Hearts: The Great War

Added: 18.12.2014 20:17 | 0 views | 0 comments

Dan Naylor: "Not many video games have made me cry, but by god Valiant Hearts set me off. That finale there will be spoilers here where you think everything will be okay, but then its suddenly not. Its a sucker punch to the gut. Youve struggled to keep everyone alive, Karl is safe, youve resuscitated him three times, and hes reunited with his wife and son. It all seems to be okay. It should be okay."

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Review - NZG

Added: 18.12.2014 19:11 | 7 views | 0 comments

NZG: "Did you play Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light back in 2010? If the answer is yes, then congratulations you played one of the best co-op action-puzzlers in recent memory. If the answer is no, then youre actually very lucky. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (the sequel to the previously mentioned game) hones established formulae, while cramming in extra content and increasing the player count. The game shares a lot of its DNA with dual joystick shooters, and traditional puzzle-platformers. Youll be mowing down enemies with a vast arsenal of guns as you delve into tombs, and solving simple physics puzzles to progress through them. It also features a new cast of characters to accompany Lara; Carter (a charismatic treasure hunter), Isis, and Horus (divine Egyptian avatars). These characters share simple toolsets that present rewarding solutions to puzzles."

Metrocide Review | Front Towards Gamer

Added: 17.12.2014 7:11 | 10 views | 0 comments

Metrocide is presented in a top-down (semi-isometric, thanks to 3D buildings) dystopian cyberpunk future where drones fly overhead, policing the populace. Civilians and crooks with itchy trigger fingers roam the murky streets while perpetual rainfall from a blackened sky builds up overhead. But you? Youre Trench (first name withstanding, as choice of gender is provided), an assassin whose only goal is to get out of this miserable dump. And to do that, youll have to kill bad people. This doesnt seem too hard, does it?
