Gamewatcher: StarDrive 2 lets me play as a race of samurai space bears, and therefore it is hard for me to provide an unbiased review. Providing me with the ability to conquer the galaxy as an ursine warrior-race is always going to win points with me. That said theres plenty of solid genre competition out there (space-bears or no) so its fortunate that Zero Sums sci-fi strategy game has plenty going for it apart from its galactic menagerie of playable races.

The latest Mortal Kombat X patch (1.02) is now available on PlayStation 4 and appears to be on several other platforms as well. It adds a few costumes to the games code which appears to have been on-disc DLC such as Jason Voorhees as well as adding improvements to online stability and balancing.

Its not like its a bad game, not even close in fact. The platforming is solid, as is the shooting / slashing, and being able to play as Zero adds some diversity to the game. However, the lackluster Mavericks, weapons, and story just make the game feel a little tired. Nostalgia definitely has made it a better game than it actually is. I can recommend Mega Man X4 to those who have played and enjoyed other Mega Man X games but if you are looking to enter the series for the first time, check out the original Mega Man X first. Theres a distinct lack of excellence here that just cant be ignored."

While the team at Lab Zero Games continues to dish out DLC for its PlayStation 3 fighter, Skullgirls: Encore, the developer has dropped some interesting news involving the latest incarnation of its game. With all of the new characters and modes being crammed in, CEO Peter Bartholow has stated that the team decided to dub it Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, and it will be a cross buy title for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
