After a long wait, Marvelous has confirmed that Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is coming to the United Kingdom on the 20th of September. The game has been in North America and Japan for the past year or so. There's an old trailer for the game after the break.
Nintendo has revealed that there are currently "no plans to sell the 2DS in Japan at this time". I wouldn't be surprised if it was released in the region at some point, but for the moment it's an exclusive for North America and Europe. Source
Nintendo has released the first commercial for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. It's in German, but it's still another bread-crumb on the hype-filled path toward the release of the games on October 12th.
WayForward, the developers behind games such as Mighty Switch Force and Shantae, have announced that they'll be launching a Kickstarter for a new project on the 4th of September. There's no further details at the moment, meaning this might not be for the 3DS, but they do say that it's "big". Considering they're already successful [...]
There's a few issues in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team that Nintendo is releasing a patch for in Japan. We're not exactly sure when this patch will arrive in other regions, but I can't imagine there'll be too much of a delay. You can find the patch notes after the break. On Mount Pajamaja, at [...]
Skylanders SWAP Force is coming to all major platforms on October 13th in North America and October 18th in Europe, and Activision has announced that the 3DS version of the game "will have its own story and levels". You can also purchase a starter pack that has "three exclusive figures not available in any other [...]
Capcom confirmed that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies will only be released in the United States as a digital release, and they've also revealed that the game will cost $29.99, which sounds like a pretty good deal to me. As for release dates, we only know it's coming at some point this fall.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is coming to Europe at some point during this year, but while we still don't have a release date for the game, Nintendo has confirmed at least one thing: the name is different. The game in Europe will be known as Bravely Default: Where The Fairy Flies, which I definitely prefer. [...]
Level-5 has announced Layton 7 for the 3DS, iOS, and Android. But despite the game having "Layton" in the title, this is not a game that stars Professor Layton. The game itself is a role-playing puzzle game. When we know more, I'll of course post the details to the blog.
Well this wasn't expected. It's the Nintendo 2DS, an entry-level version of the 3DS with a simpler design and no 3D effects. It will cost $129.99 and be released alongside Pokémon X and Pokémon Y on October 12th. Kotaku went hands-on with the device and said: It’s probably best to consider the 2DS in the [...]
As you can see above, first look at Wii Fit Trainer and Animal Crossing Village in 3DS version of the next Smash Bros. game. Masahiro Sakurai has also confirmed that the outlines surrounding the characters "can be made thinner or made to disappear completely." They're there to make the characters easier to see though, so [...]
We saw plenty of footage from Pokemon X and Pokemon Y from Japan recently, and the same demo has now made an appearance at Gamescom in Germany. It's in English now though, so we can actually read the text.
A user on Twitter asked Nicalis if there's a chance of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth coming to the 3DS, to which Nicalis responded, "There's still a chance." We're not sure how much of a chance since the previous game was rejected by Nintendo, but maybe we'll hear something in the coming weeks. There's a [...]
I suppose we could have seen this coming, but Nintendo has shut-down the Kickstarter for the Metroid: Enemies Within fan-made film. As you might expect, this is because of copyright infringement. But while I can understand that Nintendo has to protect their intellectual property, it'd be a lot less irritating if Nintendo put some money [...]
You an find thirty minutes of footage from Sonic: Lost World after the break, recorded at Gamescom in Germany. The sound is also directly captured from the 3DS, which is nice.
Shin'en Multimedia has confirmed that Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai will be submitted to the eShop next week, pushing it one step closer to its release. In the mean time, enjoy some screenshots after the break.
