Originally, Shantae was set for a June 20th release date via the Virtual Console. Then it was delayed and we've been left in limbo ever since. How tragic. WayForward has since confirmed, however, that the game will be available on July 20th. As far as delays are concerned, a month isn't terrible.
A few weeks ago, a collection of StreetPass-based games were released in Europe and Japan. In that time, over 200,000 thousand 3DS owners have purchased at least one of those games. And while that's not a huge number, keep in mind that: They're not released in North America, Nintendo's biggest market. StreetPass, while cool, is [...]
When asked if Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is coming to Europe, Akihiro Hino — the boss of Level-5 — said that "something is in the making". Unfortunately, aside from "be patient", that's all he said. So I guess for the moment, we'll just have to wait and hope. (via gematsu.com)
One Piece: Romance Dawn is coming to the 3DS in both Japan and Europe, but Namco Bandai has confirmed that there are "no plans" to release it within North America. For folks in North America who want to play the game, you might want to consider importing a PAL system. (via siliconera.com)
Level-5 has talked in the past how Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, the sixth game in the Layton series is also the last title. But as long as a series makes money, I think we can expect it to continue in some form, and Level-5#8242;s boss has said that, "If a seventh game was [...]

They've given the game a score of eight out of ten, sharing that it "looks great, plays well, and provides a devilish challenge that will leave even the most seasoned shoot ‘em up veterans scratching their heads". It's not [...]
Okay, so Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are not literally set in France. It's set in Kalos. But the region is influenced heavily by France. And why is this? Masuda has explained that the theme of the game is "beauty" (which is what "Kalos" means in Ancient Greek) and they wanted to base the region [...]
Eiji Aonuma has revealed that The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, coming to the 3DS later this year, was originally a remake of A Link to the Past rather than a sequel. He explained however that he "didn't want to make a remake", and one one of his designers showed him "this concept [...]
EDGE has reviewed Mighty Switch Force 2 for the 3DS, sharing that while the new water gun is "a qualified success", it "lacks the precision of a laser pistol, proving disruptive to the flow of a game that demands something approaching perfection". In the end, it sounds like fans of the original game will have [...]
