Recreation of first Baldur's Gate CRPG that requires Neverwinter Nights 2 has been in development since 2006.
A 3D recreation of 1998's PC RPG Baldur's Gate is out right now under the name Baldur's Gate: Reloaded.
Players are required to have a copy of Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions, Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir, to play the mod. Gamers can play the game either in a third person perspective or a top down view. The recreation features both the original first game and its expansion, Tales of the Sword Coast.
It is available as a free download and is no way affiliated with BioWare. Details on patch notes and installation instructions can be found on the mod's Nexus page.
Baldur's Gate: Reloaded has been in development since November 2006 by game designer Drew Rechner and a small team of developers called Baldur's Gate: Reloaded Team.
