Volition's open-world game goes platinum during first week at retail; PC version triples initial sales figures of Saints Row: The Third.
sold more than 1 million units during its first week on sale, publisher Deep Silver announced today. Sales of this level make the game a "smashing commercial success," according to the company.
Deep Silver said the PC version of Saints Row IV was a top performer, selling three times the number of units compared to early sales of on PC.
"We are incredibly happy of the reception for Saints Row IV as a critical and now a commercial success," said Deep Silver parent company Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz. "The development team at Volition is second-to-none as a driving creative force in the entertainment industry and we are very proud to have them as part of the Deep Silver family."
