I realize that I am basically alone in this, as many people have written it off as a poor excuse for an interactive film. Maybe it is the film critic in me that ultimately shines through here, but there is so much depth to this game from a narrative perspective that I would be remiss if I did not come to its defense. The most intense and fleshed out theme of the game is a how a persons codependency can define and ultimately become who they are. Beyond serves as a cautionary tale of sorts, illustrating the limited possibilities of relationships that can consume you."
