Technology Tell writes, "While F1 2014 received a slight buff in the graphics department, the whole package feels lacking. Anyone hoping for the return of the recreated classic cars, drivers and tracks included in F1 2013 will be sorely disappointed, as any trace of the concept has been stripped from F1 2014. This distillation extends throughout the game: like in the career mode, for example, where last year players would undergo a handful of tutorials and challenges (otherwise known as the young driver test). Here, those are replaced with one single test lap. And then further, as a sense of progressive is zapped because now youre allowed to circumvent racing for slower teams by simply choosing whatever team you desire from the offset. Although not necessarily a bad thing for those looking to avoid the time investment, those on the other end will have to dock themselves purposely."
