Jed Pressgrove from Fate of the Game says: "This game is a good bargain at $15 if you want cool western gameplay. Ones expectations must be in check, though. This is a B-game that walks to its own drum without being overly original. The narrative does get on my nerves, but it also has a few surprises that set up funny and/or hectic situations in the game. If the incredible Wild Guns on the SNES had been 3D, it would have felt kind of like Call of Juarez: Gunslinger."
