Balloons, puppies and grenades - sounds like my 8th birthday party.
The Game Awards seems to be aiming at being the Oscars of games, with celebrity appearances, lots of loud whooping and lavish settings - as well as quite a few world premiere trailers. Do we need a video game Oscars? That's up for debate - but we did enjoy getting a whole glut of announcements all at once.
