MMGN: Assassins Creed Unity has emerged as one of the first current-gen games worthy of the PS4 and Xbox One, if you can overlook some technical hiccups. It creates a stunning rendition of 18th Century Paris amidst the chaos of the French Revolution, bringing a superior control scheme to parkour and combat. The story is decent, without matching the series' best, anchored by two likeable but not especially heroic leads, but the modern day narrative has almost become pointless and more detached than ever before. Players inherently tired by similarities of an annual franchise arent going to be won over, but returning fans will be in awe of the amazing city and tighter controls that return Unity to what made Assassin's Creed so appealing, before it was overrun by pirates.
