NZGamer: "The Metal Gear Solid franchise is one of those franchises that has a fervent fanbase. The people who love this game can talk about the story in detail, and look at Hideo Kojima as a mastermind of game development. In contrast to this is the audience that have tried to play an MGS title once or twice and come away hating the overly long cut-scenes, slow gameplay, and the flip-flop nature of its serious tone.
