There were blockbuster titles, such as Watch Dogs and Destiny, that promised to revolutionise the next generation of gaming (and didnt). As well as countless games that launched with day-one patches and game crippling bugs. Sure, its easy to frown at these stumbling blocks now, but for me, I cant help but recall the mediocre launch of the Xbox 360 and PS3, and be impressed at the same time. In fact, if you look back on the initial release calendars of any console launch, youll see that 2014 has been, without a doubt, the most successful first year of any gaming generation; in spite of its problems."
