'Dying Light' Review: Zombie Souls | Forbes

Forbes: Dying Light is a little bit like Dark Souls. For instance, you can be invaded by other players, just like in Dark Soulsthe challenging action-RPG from Japanese game developer From Software. In Dying Light, these invaders take the shape of a special, powerful zombie. And just like in Dark Souls, your combat actions are dictated by a draining stamina bar. As you hack and slash away at zombies in the fictional Middle-Eastern city of Harran, youll often find yourself out of breath, having to back away to let your stamina bar refill. Considering the fact that zombies take quite a few hits to bring downthough perhaps not quite so many as the walking dead in Ubisofts Wii U exclusive ZombiU, a game that also reminded me of Dark Souls a bityou often find yourself on the defensive, at least early on in the game. And that, dear reader, is about as far as Ill run with the Dark Souls comparisons.
