Well, if you're anything like me, you might have thought "The Oregon Trail" (or Orion Burger but that's beside the point...) This computer classic was treacherous but enjoyable thanks tot he fact that it basically let kids play games at school. Orion Trail by developer Schell Games certainly channels the difficulty, but does so with a distinctly tongue in cheek vibe.
