The Long Way tasks players with navigating through conversations with the characters who pick you up. The strangers you meet are an interesting bunch, each seemingly with their own sets of beliefs and interests. Your job is to pick up on their statements and successfully wade through the conversation, by choosing from one of two dialogue options, in hopes of getting further down the road. Upsetting, offending, or just simply not agreeing with your ride results in the end of your trip, left out in the sun to wander onward until your next car-bound savior arrives.
