Why gamers are going crazy for Yooka-Laylee

Yooka-Laylee was funded just 40 minutes after its Kickstarter went live late last week. Within 24 hours, it had reached what was then its top stretch goal of £1 million to ensure a simultaneous launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC. The funds keep coming. All this from a developer that is yet to release a game, but to be fair, has considerably more experience than most of its indie peers. One thing's clear: gamers are going wild for Yooka-Laylee, and it's not hard to see why.
