Developers Pieces Interactive have brought us the second coming of Magicka, with bits of fresh everything, more giblets, shinier graphics and smoother than Vlad's undead bottom. Published by Paradox Interactive, Magicka is possibly most famous for being the most anti-co-op multiplayer co-op game ever devised. Magicka 2 builds on the unsubtle and rather rough foundations of the original, with largely similar mechanics, but a fresh new outlook in a shinier Bitsquid engine. The humour is still there, Vlad is still there, the voiceover for the dialogue is still utterly mystifying, but this time around, not many of the wizards are still there. The key hurdle for Magicka 2 was to build on what Magicka created, but feel fresh and original, as opposed to just a tacked on piece of content.
