But over the last few years its become a clearly defined sub-genre, and in large part thanks to 2012 indie game Dear Esther to which this is a spiritual sequel. Since then weve had genuine classics such as Gone Home and The Stanley Parable, that have been responsible for some of gamings most inspired storytelling. But Everybodys Gone To The Rapture doesnt quite scale those same heights.
