WC The video gaming industry is worth almost £60bn. For those not great at maths thats twelve zeros. Twelve zeroes isnt bad for something that started out with a few nerds, a handful of transistors and a black and white telly. Its come a long way from the Magnavox Odyssey. Having survived the great console crash of 1977 and the video game crash in 1983 its bounced back like a powered-up Pac-man to become one of the most lucrative industries ever and believe it or not there are a handful of people (formerly kids, not allegedly adults) who lived through it all.
