Spicing up Zelda Symphony: An interview with Chad Seiter

"Chiptunes dont translate to a vast orchestral piece as easily as one might think. Performing a videogame composition once and then looping it for another go may be passable in some venues, but in the case of an orchestra playing the widely cherished The Legend of Zelda series soundtracks, there needs to be an added level of pizzaz to spice it all up. With The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, this includes selecting tracks that best represent specific games and tying them into a movement that tells that games story. Producers Jeron Moore and Jason Michael Paul have spoken passionately about the formation of the show, so it only seemed fitting to continue along and talk to Chad Seiter, the symphonys orchestrator. You might know his name from some of his film and TV composing work for Lost, Fringe and this years Star Trek game." - Patrick Kulikowski
