That the gap between gaming and cinema is narrower than ever before is a given - developers like Crytek boast that their games are now as high fidelity as the latest Hollywood blockbusters. But in truth, film and videogames have always enjoyed a close symbiotic relationship. Would Red Dead Redemption be the same game if A Fistful of Dollars had never existed? Would there have been a Dino Crisis if not for Jurassic Park? Somehow, I doubt it.
