Assassin's Creed: Unity has been in development since 2010, gradually taking shape in the shadows behind Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Assassin's Creed 3 and last year's Black Flag. It was a strange experience for many at Ubisoft Montreal - creating a game in the tradition of Assassin's Creed 2, while other teams moved the franchise in different directions.
