The pitch: "Fru is a puzzle-platformer where the player is the portal to another dimension. The game captures their silhouettes and reveals a hidden world inside an existing one." Our take: While it might nab the style and creative mindset of Braid, Fru does so entirely on its own terms. Each seemingly impossible-to-solve level is in fact just one version of the same space, with the others only revealed by using Kinect to project your digital shadow onto a lower, more traversable layer. You're essentially having a fight with some stubborn Photoshop layers - never more so than when you have to physically clamber over another player to succeed.
