Although it launched in 2009, Kickstarter didn't explode into the minds of gamers until Tim Schafer and Double Fine launched their Double Fine Adventure campaign in 2012. In the past two and a half years we've seen a ton of games launch on the platform, but only a handful of high quality adventure titles. Technology Tell writes, "But for all that Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 gets right, so much of it just doesnt work out well. Much of the time, these issues come up for specific consecutive stages and then disappear. Certain Space and Netherworld levels experience considerable slowdown that makes timing jumps and chaining ghost chomping difficult. The first half of the Prehistoria levels suddenly punish you for exploring side paths, activity that was previously encouraged, either by having you take immediate damage for barely jumping out to them or by not including a valid way to get back onto the proper trail once youve successfully reached them. A chase sequence where youre fleeing from a dinosaur is amazingly buggy. If you are caught by the beast, possibly because you wanted the fruit piece found during the sequence, it will try to pitch you off the cliff. If it succeeds, youll respawn at the start with it already closing on you, starting its throwing animation erratica...
