Diablo Meets Dark Souls in Isometric Action-RPG Eitr

Among the indie games Sony showcased during its E3 press conference this week, Eitr also impressed me with both its graphics and sound. This is a visually striking game, with a very dark, gorgeous pixel-art aesthetic that feels perfectly suited to this sort of experience. Combat moves are also wonderfully animated in a way that really stands out by being paired with the retro visuals. In terms of music, there typically isn't a lot--it's very subtle most of the time, offering a creepy ambiance as you make your way through an area. When facing a boss, it really kicks in; the one I faced was accompanied by some intense music that inadvertently caused me to become too aggressive. I walked away from my brief time with Eitr impressed. I do hope that the full game offers enough opportunities for exploration so that it doesn't feel like you're traveling down a linear path. Even without that, there are enough elements at work here--including those I didn't get to see in-depth, like a skill tree and gems with different effects that can be equipped--that make Eitr look promising.

Ubisoft is on fire with its running string of new game reveals at the end of their E3 press conferences, and this year's was as exciting as any other. It's fair to say there has been a sense of disappointment over Nintendo's E3 Digital Event presentation. Its major titles - the known such as Star Fox Zero and the new Mario Tennis - failed to inspire much excitement.
One 56 second trailer caused the biggest uproar however. Among their new 3DS games Nintendo debuted a trailer for Metroid Prime spin-off Federation Force, and to put it mildly, people didn't like it.

| Injustice Mobile: What if the Boss subcategory were to be expanded?

WASDuk's Chris Patton shows off concept art for DC Characters that could be used to expand the Boss class in Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile. Currently, Boss Solomon Grundy is all alone:
"But, why dont we have more Boss cards?
Darkseid is theoretically the biggest bad in the game until we get a Yellow Lantern Superman or a Trigon or an Atrocitus. However, none of those characters have made huge blips that foreshadow playability on the radar yet. On the other hand, Darkseid does have a Boss form in the comics, though hes not in the platform version and we, therefore, have no idea what other skins of him will arise."
