Added: 20.04.2013 18:18 | 33 views | 0 comments

NetherRealm Studios new fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, is already getting rave reviews from gaming sites. Its the second time the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment-owned studio, NetherRealm, has worked with some of the most famous DC Comics super heroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Arrow and The Flash in a video game. MK vs DC Universe was a hit years ago, but this new game rids the Mortal Kombat characters and delves into the Injustice comic book mythology that allows some of the most iconic super heroes to turn on each other in combat. Its also worth noting that both of these games run on Epic Games Unreal Engine 3 technology.

Siliconera: ''Injustice: Gods Among Us isnt the first fighting game with characters from the DC Universe. NetherRealm worked on the awkward Mortal Kombat and DC Universe mashup and a decade before when fighting games were all the rage that Sunsoft made a Justice League fighting game. Justice League Task Force never attempted to explain why Green Arrow could beat Superman in a fight. In this interview we talked to NetherRealm about selecting story arcs, using Street Fighter style controls, and Detective Chimp.''

Injustice: Gods Among Us Preview- Artificialfun.com

James Merrett writes "Injustice: Gods Among Us, developed by the team behind Mortal Kombat, is a one on one fighting game pitting DC comics most famous superheroes against each other. At the moment there are 22 characters announced for the game, with big-hitters Superman and Batman alongside other favourites such as Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Green Arrow and Raven. Nearly all the characters in the game have seen something of a costume redesign for the game, with clear inspiration being taken from DCs recent film interpretations. While not all fans will agree with NetherRealms spin on the cast, they all fit nicely into a consistent aesthetic despite coming from all over the DC universe."
