Can a Bad Sequel Hurt the Original Work?
Added: 31.03.2015 4:18 | 7 views | 0 comments
Some of the best loved videogamesones like Silent Hill 2, Assassins Creed II, and Mass Effect 2are sequels. These titles are widely considered to be substantial improvements over their predecessors, the design changes made from older to newer release seen as necessary overhauls or refinements of what came before. The success of sequels isnt unusual for videogames. A large part of whether or not a game is enjoyable can come from the sort of mechanical improvements that often arise with development iteration. But, all the same, following up on a well regarded original comes with its own difficulties.

One Angry Gamer "Modders have been adding and expanding the content of Medieval Engineers rapidly. The games Steam Workshop page has been exploding with new content on a regular basis. One of the new mods added to the game is the small commune known as Monteriggioni, the same commune that Ezio Auditore from Assassins Creed II and Assassins Creed: Brotherhood used as a base of operations for his devilish, rebel antics."

First off, a quick background to the game for those who arent aware of where it fits into the series and what it is all about. Assassins Creed Rogue follows Shay Patrick Cormack; an Assassins-turned-Templar who now hunts his former brothers (and sisters). The story fits in between Assassins Creed III and Black Flag (Assassins Creed IV), and sees the return of a number of familiar faces, as well as revealing some of their fates.
