Since the release of the first beta version of Assetto Corsa earlier this weekend the community hasnt been sleeping. After a day the first game modifications are appearing already. The Assetto Corsa physics engine has been designed and coded from the ground up and will eventually during the course of time evolve into a full blown modding platform where the community can create their own tracks, cars, liveries, etc and share it with with others. The first modifications are now available to download.

After the much discussed McLaren MP4-12C GT3 video on RaceDepartment its now time to see the road version of the McLaren MP4-12 in action on Imola. Driving without any assists Marco Massarutto shows us how the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari looks in Assetto Corsa around lunchtime in free practice mode. The popular Italian race track, nicknamed by Enzo Ferrari as the Little Nürburgring was licensed roughly a year ago and its the first time the circuit appears in a sim racing title as an accurate laserscanned version.

To manage the expectations a bit, no need to hurry and fire up Steam as you will not find the game listed there as this image is early work in progress. Kunos Simulazioni have announced a new track addition for Assetto Corsa as the legendary track of Spa-Francorchamps is now officially licensed. After yesterdays news where Steam Greenlit Assetto Corsa the development team thanked their fans on Facebook for the support.
