After a frankly stupid amount of pre-release trailers and press-baiting teasers, the new Splinter Cell is finally here amidst the weeks where the industry kicks back before the run-up to Xmas.
Was it worth the wait? Oh, hell yes.

eGamer writes: "Splinter Cell: Blacklist has its imperfections, but when it boils down to it, the core gameplay is great and highly entertaining, and thats what matters most. It also helps that the multiplayer is an absolute blast, and definitely worth investing in. As I said, I went into this game expecting little, and Im pleased to say that Blacklist genuinely surprised me in all the right ways. For series fans and gamers who love action stealth blends, Blacklist is a damn fine choice, evolving the series and hitting all the right notes."

Ken McKown writes: Sam Fisher and I have had a hard road together. I still remember seeing the original game and its technical prowess and being floored. Over the years though, the series has seen its ups and downs far too often. When Blacklist was announced my radar didnt even blip. The idea of another adventure down the stealth path of frustration wasnt all that intriguing. After spending numerous hours globetrotting around the world with the new Sam I can say that the series has never been better. Blacklist takes everything I loved about the series and refines and redefines it. This is the best Splinter Cell game I have played since Chaos Theory.

ScrewAttack: "The world is under attack from a rouge MI5 agent and his organization The Engineers. Only one man can save us from all out war in Splinter Cell: Blacklist and that man is Sam Fisher. But Sam Fisher has undergone a few changes, for the better in my opinion. Meaning pedantic fanboys who miss Michael Ironsides sultry voice should go kick rocks, because this might just be one of the most dynamic and entertaining Splinter Cell experiences yet."
