Corey says: "When Wolfenstein: The New Order was announced I was highly wary of the claims by the developer and how the overall game would play. I expected just another first person shooter trying to rehash an old PC favorite. Surprisingly my scepticism was put aside as TNO became one of my favorite games of 2014. So it is safe to say I was pretty excited when a standalone prequel game was announced. Flash forward to last week and the game preloading on my Xbox One and I kind of felt a little indifferent."

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood comes out not even a full year removed from the fantastic and absolutely surprising Wolfenstein: The New Order, and MachineGames has cranked out a standalone prequel. It is a game that requires no prior knowledge of the events of The New Order to enjoy and get accustomed how it plays. While it didn't give the same impression that The New Order left me with, but The Old Blood is still an incredibly solid shooter with interesting events making it a worthwhile, albeit short playthrough. It is good to return to Castle Wolfenstein.
