A.J. says: If there's one series retro gamers can't get enough of; it's Mega Man. As a huge fan for the past 25 years, I'm happy to see a new compilation for modern consoles, but was it worth releasing yet another collection?

Reviewing a game is tricky business. Subjective by its very nature, each review is tempered by personal biases, preferences and expectations; what appeals to one may be loathed by the other, despite being relatively sound in most respects.

Ken McKown writes: Mega Man is one of my oldest, and most treasured gaming memories. I still remember the circumstances of being introduced to the original game on the NES. The Blue Bomber has also seen more than his fair share of collections and remakes over the years. There is not a system gamers couldnt experience (at least) the original six 8-bit classics in some form or fashion, all that is except for the PS4 and Xbox One. Well now that is remedied. Mega Man Legacy Collection is yet another excuse to experience these fine games, with some bonus fan service thrown in for good measure.

GC:
Most horror stuff these days is hard to watch, mainly because it's settled so much into the mundane, you can see twists coming from a mile away. "Oh, the brother was dead this whole time." "Of course the best friend killed them all, because he's a jerk." Blah blah. However, on occasion, you find something that stands out due to its creativity, like It Follows or The Babadook.

GB:
Mega Man is very important to me.
As a child of the 80s, I grew up with the sidescrolling series. I loved Mega Man before I loved any other game character. The Blue Bomber meant more to me than Mario or Link. So, any collection of Mega Man games has my attention.
The Mega Man Legacy Collection contains all of the titles released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, specifically Mega Man 1 through 6. It comes out today digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (with boxed versions and a 3DS release coming in early 2016).
