The time has finally come to end the Lords of Shadow story arch and Dracula is coming into the spotlight. The Lords of Shadow story arch has been a tremendous series for Castlevania. It managed to bring the storied franchise back into the good graces of gamers everywhere and it was a worthy of the Castlevania name after an extended hiatus from consoles. PlayDevil Review: Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2

Added: 12.03.2014 14:15 | 7 views | 0 comments

PlayDevil has reviewed the latest Castlevania game. Here is a snippet: "One final note that is worth mentioning is that Lords of Shadow 2 does something I've never seen in a hack 'n' slash game before, but is incredibly welcome and should be copied in all titles that follow it. Hidden away in a menu that you might never come across is an option to turn off quick time events. Those annoying button-mashing 'reflex tests' that add nothing to games of these kinds, especially when it's just to open a door or crank a lever, they can be turned off, and there is no penalty for doing so. I've stated before how much I despise QTEs, so I can't praise Konami and Co. enough for implementing this feature. Thank you."

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Review [Capsule Computers]

Added: 11.03.2014 7:15 | 7 views | 0 comments

Dustin Spencer from Capsule Computers writes: "Castlevania is without a doubt one of the most loved franchises in the industry. When Mercury Steam re-invented the brand with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, we seen an outpouring of feelings from fans. Some were amazed that the series could be so fully realized in a beautiful 3D world. Others cried foul and compared the reboot to God of War and Devil May Cry, stating that Castlevania sold out. Before I go any further, I will say that Lords of Shadow did not sell out and was its own experience, like it or not. We were given a gift of potential with that one release, where a new start was in full bloom and seeing the name Mercury Steam was now something to be excited about. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is the highly anticipated follow-up, and wants to further the lore of Castlevania with a new tale for Dracula. Does it live up to expectations, or does this title need a stake through the heart?"

AeternoBlade Review | SpawnFirst

Added: 10.03.2014 3:15 | 6 views | 0 comments

SpawnFirst's Brian O'Donnell writes "AeternoBlade isnt by any means a bad game, and has several really good elements that work well for it. However, with so many better platformers out there, like the Castlevania games, Super Mario 3D Land, and Donkey Kong Jungle Freeze on the Wii U, AeternoBlade is just white noise. However, if you do feel like a challenge for a fairly decent price, and are able to look past its flaws, then maybe AeternoBlade is a game for you."
