New Video Game Releases: What Gamers Want for the Week of 4-20-15

EB: This weeks new video game releases are diverse, but may not be considered must play if you catch my drift. The big name release of the week is the first of three planned Assassins Creed Chronicles titles, which will take place in China and feature a 2.5D approach to the franchise.
Killing Floor 2 hits Early Access on the 21st and promises to feature more blood and guts than have ever been seen in a video game. Sony fans can get their hands on Shovel Knight, which now features Kratos for the PS3, PS4, and Vita versions of the game.

| Valkyria Chronicles PC port drops to $5 for weekend
Added: 19.04.2015 18:17 | 4 views | 0 comments
SEGA's successful PC port Valkyria Chronicles has hit a new low since its November 2014 release. Normally a $20 purchase, GMG has launched a SEGA Games sale where it drops 75% and with a stacking 21% off coupon hits only $5.37 - the lowest price ever by about $2. Valk probably takes the cake as the best offer, but beyond that Binary Domain and Viking: Battle for Asgard are also cheapest ever and nearly every other game in the sale is at its lowest price.

PA:
As I began wading into Xenoblade Chronicles perhaps the finest RPG ever to be released for Nintendo Wii, and now available for New Nintendo 3DS for a second time in three years, I immediately began to remember what I liked so much about the original.
When it was first released, Monolith Softs epic RPG represented a long overdue and smashingly successful merging of Japanese RPG style with Western RPG sensibilities. It had colourful characters and clothes, an incredibly complex combat system, massive open environments, and seemingly limitless quests. Basically, its what youd get if the folks at Square Enix teamed up with designers at Bethesda Softworks.

NZG:
Its easy to remember the Wii as a console that seemed to be aimed squarely at the casual market; titles like Wii Sports, Just Dance, and Wii Fit were some of the biggest selling on the system. Its strange then, that despite this image, the Wii housed some of the biggest and best Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs) of the last generation. Titles like The Last Story and Pandoras Tower released in the Western world in the final moments of the Wiis life-span. Alongside them came one of the biggest and most critically revered JRPGs for the system: Xenoblade Chronicles.

Long considered a swansong for the original Wii, this deep and engaging RPG hits the New 3DS to provide owners with what seems to be the first must have for the new souped-up handheld.
