USGamer:
If you're one of those adventurous gamers who have experienced the pleasures of Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii, you should have a pretty solid idea of what to expect from its port for New 3DS: A massive open-world RPG journey spanning a good 100 hours of gameplay. It's a huge game, and developer Monolith has ported it over in its entirety to the handheld system.

Vooks: Its finally here, a game that attempts to at least validate the purchase of a New Nintendo 3DS system. When Xenoblade Chronicles was first announced for the 3DS, I was pretty apprehensive as to whether it would work on the system. The pre-release footage wasnt particularly good looking, it didnt seem to run well and also seemed to be the worst way to try and do three dimensional graphics on the system. While I have my doubts about how well Xenoblade Chronicles will stand up visually in the future, for now, it runs just as youd expect it to if you were playing it on the Wii.

Allisa James from DualShockers reviews Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo for New 3DS.
How does this port from console to portable stack up? Does it do the Wii classic justice in both the gameplay and controls department?

Eurogamer:
There have been big games on small screens before, of course. Think of the epic scope of a Pokémon adventure, entire regions charted as you gather together your own vast menagerie, or the toytown bestiary of Animal Crossing New Leaf, as your own village ticks on while hungrily consuming endless hours of your life. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, the handheld port of Monolith Soft's grandiose 2011 Wii RPG, is different.

Pocket Gamer: Xenoblade Chronicles is not your average RPG.
You don't pick attacks from a menu and then sit back to watch the animations play out. Instead, the game's battles are intense and they work in real time (with the odd moment of rest when chaining attacks).
