Avoiderdragon: Firaxis Games, which is mostly known for the Civilization and XCOM: Enemy Unknown series, seem to be moving forward with more games that combine turn based strategy with various themes. This new one seems to be going for a convergence of sorts by heading for the future instead of just playing with history like the Civilization series had always done, and its actually doing wonders for them.

Its AI annoys the piss out of me, the bugs bothersome, and the feels extremely similar to Civilization V for obvious reasons. Yet, despite these complaints I remain addicted to Beyond Earth.
