Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Review | GameCloud Australia

Added: 17.03.2015 18:20 | 4 views | 0 comments

William Kirk at GameCloud Australia writes: "Hotline Miami 2 is a more than decent game, but its also one that sits squarely in the shadow of its predecessor. Where the first game was sophisticated in its design and left open to interpretation, the sequel feels deliberately convoluted, with many new ideas directly contradicting the fundamental principles of what makes Hotline Miami tick in the first place. When the narrative, mechanics, and level design are all working in harmony, youll experience some of the greatest moments of the series yet. However, more often than not, it falls on its face as it pursues the flawed mentality that bigger is better. Narratively speaking, the dialogue-heavy approach will likely engage established fans, but once it was over, I had to wonder if it was even necessary and whether it actually hurt the intentional vagueness of the original. At the end of the day, its more Hotline Miami and I think its worth playing if not for the soundtrack alon...

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (Complete Season) Review | GameCloud Australia

Added: 17.03.2015 10:19 | 8 views | 0 comments

William Kirk at GameCloud Australia writes: "Without a doubt, Revelations 2 is the best Resident Evil game weve seen since RE:4. I dont say that because I think its genre-rocking its not, even though it is actually very good I say this because its the most harmonious and confident Resident Evil game of the past decade. The biggest problem that Ive found is with the pacing (further highlighted by the afterthought of episodic delivery), but in saying that, the game still succeeds because its built around a mostly polished set of mechanics. It doesnt have the antiquated combat of RE:5 or the QTE action scenes of RE:6, its just a solid all-rounded survival horror experience. Basically, if youre a fan of the franchise or the genre, I dont think you can really go wrong here. With a full campaign, bonus episodes, lots of unlockables and replayability, and the promise of online co-op for Raid Mode, Id say that Revelations 2 is definitely worth your time and investment."

DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition Review | GameCloud Australia

Added: 17.03.2015 6:18 | 22 views | 0 comments

Lliam Ahearn at GameCloud Australia writes: "DmC: Devil May Cry was one of the best action games on the last generation of consoles, and now its one of the best on this one. Everything in DmC is cool; the characters, the world, the visual design, and outside of some lacking visuals and bugs, its hard to find fault with the core game. Vergils Downfall is a disappointing piece of DLC, but its hard to argue with getting it at no extra cost in this release. If you didnt play DmC last-gen, Id recommend doing it now. If you were disgusted by a Devil May Cry game not featuring Dantes original design, throw on the classic Dante skin and get over it. DmC is an exceptional video game, and this Definitive Edition provides plenty of upgrades and new content."

Square Enix made a

"I'll tell you, I'm very grateful for the name in the end," said Navok, "because it has been very playful and it has made it a lot easier for one to get developers interested and excited. If we were Super Cloud Gaming Computer Company Technologies Inc, they would be cynical, but you say we're Shinra, we're awesome and fun, come make great games with us, then they're much more open to it. Also, from the hiring perspective, there are a lot of people who want to work with us just because they want to be a member of Shinra."

I asked who's the Hojo (the evil scientist from Final Fantasy VII) in this iteration of Shinra. "I'm not going to say!" said Navok. Sounds suspicious, if you ask me.

Shinra Technologies' platform is set to launch sometime in 2015 or 2016. Stay tuned to GameSpot for more updates as they develop.
