Mega Man is one of Capcom's earliest and most beloved characters. I've even met gamers that have never played a Mega Man game before, but own Mega Man shirts or even have tattoos of him! We hope to make jumping into Mega Man the easiest it's ever been with this collection of the series' 8-bit origins: Mega Man 1-6 for only $14.99.

Lee Garbutt: "While not an essential purchase by any means, this is a fine collection and worth a shot if youre curious, or are looking for an excuse to revisit these titles. Personally, Im glad that were starting to see a return of retro compilations that show a little love to the source material, other than just chucking ROMs on a disc; Legacy Collection certainly shows that love. Fingers crossed for more a Mega Man X Legacy Collection next."

Ken McKown writes: Mega Man is one of my oldest, and most treasured gaming memories. I still remember the circumstances of being introduced to the original game on the NES. The Blue Bomber has also seen more than his fair share of collections and remakes over the years. There is not a system gamers couldnt experience (at least) the original six 8-bit classics in some form or fashion, all that is except for the PS4 and Xbox One. Well now that is remedied. Mega Man Legacy Collection is yet another excuse to experience these fine games, with some bonus fan service thrown in for good measure.

EGM:
Playing Mega Man Legacy Collection is like opening a box of old photographs. While your memory of the specifics may be hazy, here before you are highlights from your past in perfect clarity, spattered with familiar faces of old friends and rekindling memories of those forgotten. But even better, MMLC is a time machine able to transport you back to a time when game play was unforgiving, save functions were rare, and two buttons were all you needed to protect the world from a crazed scientist.

CGM:
Without a doubt, one of my fondest memories of owning a Nintendo Entertainment System in the late 80s was discovering Mega Man 2. The premise was simple but brilliant; a good natured robot must battle and destroy eight evil Robot Masters in order to confront their sinister creator, Dr. Wily, using the signature weapons from each defeated Master to expose and exploit anothers weakness. It was as if Astroboy had been given a license to kill robots instead of befriending them, and had been programmed with a delicious sense of ironic justice. Mega Man 2 was also one of the most colourful NES games of its time, and the platforming/shooter gameplay itself was challenging but never so difficult that you could not eventually overcome its obstacles and bosses with practice or special items. The music for each stage was also phenomenal, collectively forming one of the catchiest and most memorable 8-bit soundtracks of all timeat least in my book. Not to mention how all the robots (even...

GB:
Mega Man is very important to me.
As a child of the 80s, I grew up with the sidescrolling series. I loved Mega Man before I loved any other game character. The Blue Bomber meant more to me than Mario or Link. So, any collection of Mega Man games has my attention.
The Mega Man Legacy Collection contains all of the titles released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, specifically Mega Man 1 through 6. It comes out today digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (with boxed versions and a 3DS release coming in early 2016).
