Could this be the Creative Assembly Aliens title we've been waiting for?.
You'd have thought that after the PR nightmare that was Aliens: Colonial Marines's colossal case of crashing and burning, the Aliens franchise would have been put out to pasture for the foreseeable future. Or at least, until everyone had forgotten about the Gearbox monstrosity.

I'd avoided writing about this week's Deal of the Week, because the offerings are a little stinky, but given the shortage of news this morning, perhaps we can risk a little stinkiness? The games on show aren't all bad, in fairness - there's Rebellion's FPS Alien vs Predator for #163;7.49, and Monolith's MOBA Guardians of Middle-Earth for a fiver.

Ross Hartley: "Alien Rage - Unlimited is a disaster. The core gameplay is functional but everything else about the game is just wrong. It is one of those games that is so plain and generic that it hurts. The game is less than the sum of its parts. The complete lack of variety and awful multiplayer further sink Alien Rage into being one of the year's worst. It may be only $20 but there are so many better shooters out there, why on earth would you bother with this? Even Aliens: Colonial Marines is better and that says a lot!"
