Ubisoft executive director Alain Corre says game is "still cooking," though Ubisoft won't bring it out until it is "perfect."
is "still cooking," according to Ubisoft executive director Alain Corre.
Speaking with at Gamescom this week, Corre said Ubisoft will bring the game out when it is ready, though no timetable was disclosed.
"It's an important franchise for Ubisoft. We want to make sure, on this one, like all the other games we're working on, that we bring it when we feel it's perfect," he said.
Asked if the game would continue to be called Rainbow 6: Patriots, Corre wouldn't commit.
"We can#146;t say yet. We#146;re iterating," he said. "What we want is to have a compelling story. We want people who play the next Rainbow 6 to be astonished, to be very pleased with what they see. You've seen that the improvement in games over the last few years has been exponential. We have to reflect that improvement in quality. That#146;s what we#146;re doing on all our games."
Corre added that Ubisoft's goal for the project is show it again when it has enough creativity and innovation to make it "something worth waiting for." This doesn't happen on the same timetable for all games, he said.
"On some games, it happens more often. Creation is not an exact science," Corre said. "When we're happy with what we see, when we think we can bring something new to gamers, then we say, 'okay, this is a good time to release it.'"
During E3 in June, Ubisoft confirmed that Rainbow 6: Patriots had ," but would not say more.
Rainbow 6: Patriots was and was originally expected to launch in 2013 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Ubisoft .
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with assistance from Ubisoft Toronto and Red Storm, Rainbow 6: Patriots will follow the counterterrorism Team Rainbow squad as it tries to put down a group of American insurgents known as the True Patriots. As players look to suppress the True Patriots' budding revolution, they will be faced with "tough ethical decisions," according to Ubisoft.

IGN:The Brigmore Witches doesnt break much new ground, but the stealth-or-slaughter gameplay is as compelling as ever, as is exploring each new playground. Daud also grows into his role, with a clearer sense of purpose and momentum that helps drive the story forward. While the final confrontation with Corvo is a little disappointing, Delilahs story is excellent and adds another facet to Dishonoreds original tale.

ScrewAttack: "You can close out Daud's side story in an afternoon, as I played through The Brigmore Witches with a decent amount of hunting down runes and bone charms in about four hours at the price of $9.99. If you combine that with The Knife of Dunwall, also currently priced at $9.99, you have a pretty fun 6 to 8 hour adventure for a hair under twenty bucks. Dunwall has been a deep and disturbed city since Daud sent it into a tailspin in Dishonored, and his quest to set things as right as he can before Corvo comes for him has been an enjoyable ride with its own twists and turns. Like The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches is definitely worth picking up for anyone who enjoyed Dishonored."
