Cheathappens:
"If your first Tomb Raider experience was last year's remarkable reboot from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix, you'd be forgiven if you didn't give The Temple of Osiris' high angle action another look. Those who have been around the block a few times though know as great as 2013's Tomb Raider was, The Temple of Osiris is more than a worthwhile look back. What it lacks in high definition visuals and personality it makes up for with remarkably fun co-op and a surprisingly meaningful single-player experience. If you're looking for a game to hop on the couch and play with a group of friends, this a tomb that's more than worth raiding."

| Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris review - GamePlanet

Gameplanet:
"Lara Croft is one of video gaming's most revered and most debated protagonists. For years her misogynistic figure has been held up as evidence of the gaming world's inability to grow up. However, Crystal Dynamic's 2013 reboot changed all that. Similarly, a new tranche of spin-off Tomb Raider tales have breathed not only new life, but also new gameplay into one of the industry's most iconic heroines.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is a sequel to 2010s Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Drawing inspiration from classic dungeon crawlers such as Diablo, you control Lara in third person with a top down camera, as she marauds her way through ancient Egyptians tombs. And maraud she does. Using bombs and weapons such as grenade launchers or assault rifles, Lara cuts a path of destruction through each level. Such a rampage isn't all that archaeological of Lara, but then the series has never really emphasised this woefully underdeveloped side of her character. This s...

| Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Review: Tomb Raiding in a Different Way | Gamer Headlines
Added: 17.12.2014 6:11 | 16 views | 0 comments
Gamer Headlines writes: "It was only four years ago that Crystal Dynamics completely transformed the Third-Person Action-Adventure formula we have all come to love through the various installments of Tomb Raider into an arcade-inspired experience with a fixed isometric perspective that relied heavily on its couch co-op nature with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. The latest entry in this Tomb Raider spin-off series, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, builds on the same fundamental elements of its predecessor, while also adding in four-player cooperative play for the first time ever in a game involving the iconic female video game protagonist. Despite the changes applied to its design, Temple of Osiris still feels like an authentic Tomb Raider experience with a whole lot of puzzle solving and shooting involved. However, it lacks the same level of polish as some of the main entries of the franchise, occasionally ruining what is a genuinely fun and cleverly crafted video game."

The Mary Sue writes, "While Im more than happy to venture anew with Lara into tombs just begging to be explored, those four years apart [from Guardian of Light] havent done Temple of Osiris much good. ... I began to wish that Crystal Dynamics had been equally as imaginative with finding ways to torture me."

Dominic Sheard: "2010s Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light was a huge surprise from Crystal Dynamics. It wasn't anything like what the well-known Tomb Raider franchise had featured before. The company took a chance on changing the dynamics of a Tomb Raider game, but - probably to a sigh of relief from the developers - the game was a successful reimagining for the heroine, so much in fact that a sequel is now upon us. The Lara Croft title has spun into a little bag of tasty treats as a downloadable title, keeping it away from the big main course that is the Tomb Raider games, with the next instalment, Rise of the Tomb Raider, due next year. While people wait for that, here is Laras latest title that follows closely in the footsteps of Guardian of Light."

| Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal (C3-2-1) (Nintendo 3DS) Review - Cubed3

Cubed3:
"For years, SEGA has struggled to bring fans a game worthy of the Sonic the Hedgehog legacy. Games that change nothing from the formula of past successes tend to fare somewhat well, but adapting and evolving the franchise often leads to failures. Sonic Boom is SEGA's latest crack at the series, but how does it stack up? After a look at the European release, Cubed3 takes the US edition for a quick spin in this C3-2-1: Cubed3, 2 Reviewers, 1 Game!"

| Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris Review: Tomb Raiding Is Fun Again | Dealspwn

Dealspwn: "Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider reboot was many things, but "fun" was not one of them. Cathartic, intense and harrowing, yes, but I missed the days when Lara would confidently swagger into an ancient temple, blast some endangered wildlife, nick stuff and actually raid some tombs just because it was her job. The fact that she bloody loved it was just the cherry on the cake.
Thankfully Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris is less about traumatic self-discovery and more about pillaging temples with mates for fun and profit."

| Crystal Rift Passes Kickstarter Campaign, Coming to SWVRC
Added: 12.12.2014 5:11 | 3 views | 0 comments
VRFocus - The Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for indie developers Jon Hibbins and Nick Pittom's virtual reality (VR) compatible Crystal Rift is quickly drawing to a close, ending of 12th December 2014. The team can rest easy, however, as the campaign has now officially passed its base goal of £4,000 GBP. While there are still some stretch goals that the developers would like to hit before tomorrow, this means that development of Crystal Rift can progress as planned in the build up to the intended launch in July 2015 on PC, Mac and Linux.
