Darklings Review | GameDynamo

Added: 26.02.2014 4:15 | 7 views | 0 comments

Gamedynamo - "There is often an extremely fine line between the cute and the grotesque. This particular uncanny valley is where the Crystal Pixel award-winning game Darklings has planted its weirdly adorable aesthetic. Lum, the odd little sprig of light that you pilor throughout the game, is just a little sinister looking in its domino mask; the dark creatures that steadily stalk you from the ever-shifting and always nighttime landscape are equal parts snuggly and creepy. The hearts and power-ups you collect have a candy-like sweetness to them, and the relentless progress of the enemies is winsome while also creating genuine tension."

The Next-Gen Difference: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition | OnlySP

Added: 18.02.2014 19:15 | 16 views | 0 comments

OnlySP: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is more of a rebuild than a port. Crystal Dynamics (and the associated teams at Nixxes and United Front) have taken a great game, turned the graphics up to eleven, and then added even more shinies on top. While retaining the exact core gameplay experience, the Definitive Edition teams have managed to spit polish and redo a slew of graphical thingamabobs, making it the prettiest version of Tomb Raider yet.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (PS4) Review - J Station X

Added: 13.02.2014 6:15 | 13 views | 0 comments

J Station X writes "Tomb Raider is a game that is gorgeous by default. You are Lara Croft; a survivor, with your skills inherited as much as they are grown into, on an island where flames are abundant and the lush, green forests are as dense as a nursery school flunkee. When I played Tomb Raider on PS3, the game wowed me instantly, my eyes grew to the sizes of all of the moons in our solar system and then some and I immediately declared it the best looking game on Sonys aging console. Crystal Dynamics upscaling efforts (the game runs in 1080P at 60FPS on PS4) have succeeded tremendously and I feel pretty confident in saying that Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is the best looking game on PS4 thus far."

Soapbox: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Lights a Path for Future PS4 Ports

Push Square: "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition eclipsed my expectations. Having spent my Christmas break exploring the unkind shores of Yamatai on the PlayStation 3, I really wasnt expecting Crystal Dynamics seemingly overpriced next generation upgrade to catch my attention a second time. However, from the opening cinematic through to the first underground environment, I knew that I was wrong. I even pushed the DualShock 4s versatile share button to publicly acknowledge as much."

Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition Xbox One Review - DJ Podcasts

Added: 07.02.2014 11:15 | 31 views | 0 comments

CJ from DJ Podcasts writes "Lara Croft is back and looking better than ever in the remastered Definitive Edition of the 2013 hit Tomb Raider. Most fans of the series were exceptionally happy with the version released last year, but with the release of the next-gen consoles, Crystal Dynamics decided that some elements could be refined and presented better on these systems. The question stands, is it worth the new game price? First lets re-cap on the game itself."
