Kinect-focused functionality was left behind when Son Of Rome's concept fitted Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli's vision better.
James Goddit, producer at Microsoft, explained that while Son Of Rome still features voice and gesture Kinect commands, the focus back to the controller took place due to it better suiting what the studio was aiming for.
Goddit also confirmed that Ryse will launch alongside the Xbox One, run at 30 frames per second and have a multiplayer component of some kind.
