| How powerful is Nvidia's new 12GB Titan X?
Added: 09.03.2015 11:18 | 32 views | 0 comments
Digital Foundry:
Nvidia has done it again. Just like its predecessor two short years ago, the evidence suggests that the new Titan X will be the fastest single-chip graphics card on the market, loaded down with enough RAM to cope with even the most demanding games - most likely with plenty more to spare. And again, similar to its predecessor, we should also expect the Titan X to be inordinately expensive - an aspect that only seemed to make it even more desirable to enthusiasts back in the day, if sales figures are anything to go by.
Right now, not much is known with absolute certainty about how powerful the Titan X is - but it was the GPU of choice for VR demos at last week's GDC 2015. Crytek used it for the Back to Dinosaur Island demo, while Epic showcased WETA Digital's Thief in the Shadows and its own Showdown demo with the new technology. We can reasonably assume that it's more powerful than the current top dog, the GeForce GTX 980, but to what degree?

| Crytek Bringing New VR Showcase to GDC 2015

VRFocus- Virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts may recall last years Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany as being fairly uneventful for the technology. One of the bigger reveals of the show, however, was that Crysis and Ryse: Son of Rome developer Crytek had its own VR showcase to exhibit with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Running on the companys own CryEngine 3, the demo allowed players to walk through a wooded environment. Crytek has kept quiet on its work in VR since that time, but will be revisiting the technology at the upcoming 2015 Game Developers Conference (GDC).

| CeX Review- Far Cry 4

Denis Murphy writes- Back in 2004 I loved Far Cry. From hunting boar, shooting birds out of the sky, taking out bad guys with my machete or simply just going for a dip in the shark infested waters of the mysterious unnamed island, I played the hell out of it. After releasing Far Cry developer Crytek left the series in the hands of Ubisoft, who, after ruining the series with the truly awful Instincts and Vengeance, saved the series with 2008's Far Cry 2. I believe Far Cry 2 was, and still is, the best of the series.

| Homefront: The Revolution Preview - PSXExtreme

PSXExtreme:
"Homefront was one of those games with a fantastic premise and lofty ambitions, but it didnt quite coalesce into an impressive, next-level achievement. In other words, despite its inherent entertainment and general level of quality, it was a missed opportunity. Now, developer Crytek is looking to elevate the franchise and theyre pulling out all the stops. For instance, as this is a story about an occupied United States, did you know theyve tapped Red Dawn author John Milius to assist with the script? Thats only the beginning, as Crytek seeks to build on just about every element implemented by original developer Kaos Studios."
