So today's mild-to-moderate shocker is that Battlefield 4's Final Stand DLC is science fiction-themed. I can think of several reasons for this. One is that DICE is now making a Star Wars: Battlefront game, and is using Battlefield 4 as a testbed for some high falutin' weapons technology. Another is that this is a belated hat tip to people who won't shut up about a sequel to Battlefield 2142.
