Hello gamers and how is it going. I know the Blank Your Game crew has been away for a little while but its been for a good reason. Mike on the team had his second baby so we took some time off because he host the show from his house. So the BYG crew has been playing some games except for Mike who has been busy. Ryan starts us off with him finishing BioShock Infinite (which we talk a lot about), and he is still in love with the game. Then Ryan talks about Lugi mansion for the 3DS and jumps to Injustice Gods among us. Where he finishes with Defiance a other game he is having a really good time with. One of the neat little things about Defiance are the Contracts and Data Recorder sprinkled around the world, ready to feed your EGO. The problem is, the game itself doesn't give you a ****ing clue on where to find any of these things. With the fairly large size of Defiance's world, many Ark Hunters, including myself, have to scramble to find those oh so exciting Youtube tutorial videos that take 15 minutes to show you all of the item and mission locations whenever a new one is released in-game. Thankfully, MMO blogger Etaew felt our pain, and created a special section in his blog dedicated to pinpoint those hidden items in Defiance.

For as cumbersome and time-consuming as they are to review, I have a simple, primary question to answer when assessing MMOs: If you strip away the social trappings, is it a good game? Defiance really should have been, and it certainly tries to be, but it simply isn't. And it's a real shame too, because it had a good chance to boost both the shooter and MMO genres up over the wall of tropes they've both been stuck behind for years.
