There's a new glitch that has a lot of Destiny players trying to cash in fast and hard on a new item that the exotic items dealer Xur has been selling called the Three of Coins. It's an item that opens the doorway to earning very rare weapons and armor that were added with The Taken King expansion.

GR:
"It may have better player numbers than ever and a new expansion in the form of The Taken King, but once upon a time, Destiny was a hush-hush new property behind closed doors at Activision and Bungie. Then along came a legal dispute between Activision and Infinity Ward that revealed information on a mysterious decade long, $140 million, four-game-plus-four-expansions setup that was set to form a core part of the publisher's future strategy. Of course, with its incredible budget and already expanding library, Destiny was clearly that game, but what of that fabled 'ten-year plan'? Was there any truth to it or was it just an old detail on an outdated design brief?"

| Bungie admits it should have addressed Destinys heavy ammo glitch sooner

"One year on, it's safe to say that Destiny is still going strong. With more players than ever filling its servers and new expansion The Taken King now doing the rounds, Bungie can start to roll out its plans for year two. However, just because Destiny's numbers are bucking the traditional dropoff most MMOs endure doesn't mean the studio is resting on its laurels. In fact, it's been hard at work addressing a number of issues and exploits that have held the game back over the past 12 months. Including a little glitch that enabled players to cheese unlimited heavy ammo."

Jason writes: When Destiny was launched a year ago, the reception was, wellmixed. Its moment to moment gunplay was and remains its greatest asset. Everything we expected from a decade of playing Halo along with a suite of abilities fueled by space magic. Where the game faltered, however, was trying to be an RPG and a persistent world. First-person shooters usually have campaigns that last a few hours and then proceed to sustain players with competitive multiplayer. In Destiny, however, while there is PVP gameplay, the meat of the game was clearly meant to lie in PVE. For a year, the game has maintained a large following, but lackluster mission design, frustrating progression systems, and a clear lack of story content (or content period) turned many off.
