One of the bigger reveals of the show, however, was that Crysis and Ryse: Son of Rome developer Crytek had its own VR showcase to exhibit with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Running on the companys own CryEngine 3, the demo allowed players to walk through a wooded environment. Crytek has kept quiet on its work in VR since that time, but will be revisiting the technology at the upcoming 2015 Game Developers Conference (GDC).
