Souls games Demons Souls and Dark Souls specifically are all spiritual successors of one another, but what if it doesnt stop there?
Im well aware there are similarities because they were designed as such and developers often love to put easter eggs in their games, but what fun is that? Today Id like to illustrate how Demons Souls and Dark Souls are actually direct sequels.
Needless to say, there are major spoilers for a bunch of Souls games ahead.

Satoru Iwata brought charm, laughter, and fun to Nintendo and the gaming industry. Today we remember the man who showed us that games are for everyone to enjoy. A video game programmer, the forth president and CEO of the Nintendo company and a gamer, Iwata-san pushed Nintendo back into the spotlight with the Wii and the DS. We remember his Direct Videos, the Iwata Asks website, and of course, his ability to make Nintendo move forward and beyond imagination.

Eurogamer:
Satoru Iwata, who has passed away at the age of 55, was once seen unboxing a Wii U in a Nintendo Direct sporting white surgical gloves: the perfect accompaniment to a man who was gentle, self-deprecating, polite and precise. Behind the scenes, however, he was also a man who was never afraid to get his hands dirty. There's a wonderful story about him patrolling the shop floor at Nintendo's Kyoto headquarters prior to the Wii U's release, being shown the line-up for the console's impending launch in his role as the company's president.
